SessionBox proxy setup
SessionBox One sets the proxy per profile: while you create a profile, click Manage proxies under Proxy, add the proxy once, and pick it from the Proxy list. Profiles open in your own Chrome, Edge or Firefox through the SessionBox extension, each with its own cookies and its own proxy. The username carries your targeting keys, so one set of credentials covers every country, and a distinct session ID gives each profile its own IP.

Tips & gotchas
- Keep Type on HTTP, port 823. SessionBox doesn't send a username and password to SOCKS5 proxies (its Local API docs say so), so a SOCKS5 entry only works through IP whitelisting: add the machine's IP under Access on the product's dashboard page, use port 824 and leave Username and Password empty. The product's saved Targeting then applies to every profile on that entry.
- Proxies are entries you pick per profile, so add one entry per profile, each username with its own sessid (sessid.sbx01, sessid.sbx02). Profiles that share an entry share its IP.
- Fingerprint protection, WebRTC protection and Match proxy location and timezone start at Professional. On Hobby, a site that checks WebRTC can still see your own IP behind the proxy, and the time zone stays your computer's.
- A new session can land in a different city of the same country, so add ;city.newyork if a profile must keep one time zone. City targeting meters at 2× on every pool except premium residential.
- The Local API (Professional and up) listens on localhost:54789 and takes the key from Issue API key as the Authorization header. A proxy must belong to the same team as the profile that uses it, which is why the example passes the private team's ID to both.

What is SessionBox?
SessionBox One turns your everyday browser into many isolated profiles, each with its own cookies, storage and proxy, managed from a desktop app and opened in Chrome, Edge or Firefox through the SessionBox extension. Profiles stay on your machine or sync through the cloud, can be shared one to one or through team spaces, and a Local API drives them from Selenium and other automation. Hobby is $12.99 a month for 1 seat; Professional, $59.99 for 2 seats, adds fingerprint protection, the API and proxy location matching; Teams is $99.99 for 5 seats and unlimited cloud profiles. Billed yearly they are $6.99, $29.99 and $49.99 a month, and a first install includes a one-week free trial.
SessionBox key features
- Profiles in your own browser. Each profile opens in Chrome, Edge or Firefox with its own cookies and storage, so there is no separate browser to learn.
- Per-profile proxies. Proxies are added once under My proxies, tested from the list and picked per profile; Professional adds bulk import and automatic assignment.
- Fingerprint protection. From Professional up, with WebRTC protection and each profile's location and time zone matched to its proxy.
- Local API. Creates proxies and profiles and opens profiles in a browser for Selenium and other automation, from Professional up.
- Sharing and spaces. Share a profile with one person, or keep a team's profiles in shared spaces.
- Cloud and local profiles. Profiles stay on your machine or sync through the cloud: up to 10 cloud profiles on Hobby and Professional, unlimited on Teams.
SessionBox, answered
How do I add a proxy to SessionBox?
On My Profiles click Create profile, then Manage proxies under Proxy. Click Add proxy, keep Type on HTTP, enter gw.proxmint.com in Address and 823 in Port, then your login in Username and your password in Password, and click Create. Go Back and pick the proxy under Proxy.
Does SessionBox work with SOCKS5 proxies?
Only without credentials: SessionBox doesn't send a username and password to SOCKS5 proxies. Whitelist the machine's IP under Access on the product's dashboard page, then use port 824 with Username and Password empty. With a username and password, keep Type on HTTP.
How do I give each SessionBox profile its own IP?
Add one proxy entry per profile, each with a distinct sessid in its username (sessid.sbx01, sessid.sbx02). Each profile then holds its own residential IP for up to 120 minutes, and a profile reopened later gets a fresh one.
How do I set a proxy through the SessionBox Local API?
POST the proxy to /local-api/v1/proxies on localhost:54789 with name, type, ip, port, username, password and your team ID, then pass the returned id as sbProxyId when you create or update the profile. Send the key from Issue API key in the app's settings as the Authorization header.
Is SessionBox free?
SessionBox One comes with a one-week free trial of every feature on first install. After that, Hobby is $12.99 a month, Professional $59.99 and Teams $99.99, or $6.99, $29.99 and $49.99 a month billed yearly.
