BitBrowser proxy setup
BitBrowser sets the proxy per browser profile: in the profile's Proxy section, keep Method on Custom, pick the type and fill in the host, port, username and password, then click Check Proxy. For many profiles at once, Batch Import takes one proxy per row as Host:Port:Username:Password. The username carries your targeting keys, so one set of credentials covers every country and every profile.

Tips & gotchas
- HTTP is port 823 and SOCKS5 is port 824; a profile with one type and the other port never connects. Pick HTTP for https sites too: the browser tunnels through it, so pages stay encrypted end to end. SSH in the Type list isn't for this gateway.
- WebRTC, in the profile's fingerprint settings, starts on Replace, which shows sites the proxy's IP instead of yours. Keep Replace or pick Disable. WebRTC runs over UDP, which neither port carries (our SOCKS5 port is TCP-only), so a setting that exposes the real IP goes around the proxy.
- Leave Method on Custom and Refresh Proxy empty. Extract By API and the refresh link are for providers that hand out a new IP when you call a URL; here sessttl decides how long a profile keeps its IP, and a new sessid gets a new one.
- The profile's time zone and location follow the proxy's IP, looked up through the Lookup Channel: keep IP-API or IP123, since Luminati there only works with Bright Data proxies. A new session can land in a different city of the same country, so add ;city.newyork if a profile must keep one time zone. City targeting meters at 2× on every pool except premium residential.

What is BitBrowser?
BitBrowser is an antidetect browser for running many accounts from one computer: each browser profile gets its own fingerprint, cookies and proxy, on BitBrowser's own builds of the Chrome and Firefox engines. The same company sells BitCloudPhone cloud phones and BitCloudPC. Ten browser profiles are free permanently; paid plans add profiles, team members and features such as unrestricted profile export and profile transfer.
BitBrowser key features
- Sync Windows. Repeats what you do in one profile across the others in real time.
- RPA Automation. Runs browser tasks without code, with ready-made scripts in the Script Market.
- Local API. Opens, configures and closes profiles from your own code, including Selenium and Puppeteer. Only the main account can turn it on.
- Proxy settings. HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5 and SSH per profile, a built-in Check Proxy, and saved proxies you can reuse across profiles.
- Team management. Sub-accounts with permissions, so a team shares profiles without sharing one login.
BitBrowser, answered
How do I add a proxy to a BitBrowser profile?
Open Browser Profiles and click Add. In the Proxy section keep Method on Custom, set Type to HTTP, enter gw.proxmint.com in Host and 823 in Port, then your login in Username and your password in Password. Click Check Proxy, then Confirm.
How do I import many proxies into BitBrowser at once?
Use Batch Import: download the template, put http in the proxy type column and one proxy per row as Host:Port:Username:Password, for example gw.proxmint.com:823:PROXY_USER__cr.us;sessid.bit01;sessttl.120:PROXY_PASS. Give each row its own sessid so each profile gets its own IP.
Does BitBrowser work with SOCKS5 proxies?
Yes. Set Type to SOCKS5 and use port 824 with the same host, username and password. Our SOCKS5 port carries TCP only, which covers web pages.
How do I give each BitBrowser profile its own IP?
Give each profile a distinct sessid in its username (sessid.bit01, sessid.bit02). Each profile then holds its own residential IP for up to 120 minutes, and a profile reopened later gets a fresh one.
Is BitBrowser free?
Yes, for 10 browser profiles, permanently. Paid plans add profiles and team members, plus features such as unrestricted profile export and profile transfer.
