Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 2026
On this page
  • Prohibited activities
  • Restricted regions and sanctions
  • Upstream network rules
  • Identity verification
  • Enforcement
  • Reporting abuse

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses Proxmint. It exists to keep the Service legal, reliable, and available. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund, and may be reported to law enforcement.

Prohibited activities

You may not use the Service to:

  • Break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of any third party.
  • Gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data (hacking, credential stuffing, brute-forcing), or bypass the security measures or access controls of any system you are not authorized to use.
  • Launch DoS/DDoS attacks, port scanning, or network flooding; or overload, disrupt, or degrade the infrastructure of any target (for example, through excessive request rates).
  • Send spam or phishing, or operate scam or fraud campaigns — including payment fraud, carding, money laundering, ad or click fraud, and ticket-purchasing or scalping bots.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, or exploit kits.
  • Access, store, or transmit child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content exploiting minors. Zero tolerance.
  • Collect non-public personal or sensitive data, or scrape personal data, without a lawful basis and any authorization the law requires.
  • Infringe intellectual property or distribute pirated content.
  • Harass, threaten, or stalk others, or violate others’ privacy.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission, or share access in a way that obscures abusive activity.

Restricted regions and sanctions

You may not use the Service from, or to target systems in, comprehensively sanctioned or embargoed jurisdictions, or in any way that violates export-control or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in — or acting on behalf of anyone located in — such a jurisdiction, and that you are not on any government sanctions or denied-party list. Restricted jurisdictions include (without limitation) Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Russian Federation, Belarus, and the restricted regions of Ukraine. This list may change to reflect applicable law and the requirements of our upstream network provider.

Upstream network rules

The Service runs on a third-party upstream proxy network. Your use is additionally subject to that provider’s acceptable-use rules, which are no less strict than this AUP. We are contractually required to pass through and enforce those rules, and we may act on the upstream provider’s instructions — including suspending access — to stay compliant. Certain target categories (for example, adult or other restricted content) may be blocked at the network level at our or the upstream provider’s discretion.

Identity verification

Where your use of the Service is ambiguous or raises abuse or compliance concerns, we may require identity or business verification (KYC) before continuing or restoring access. Failure to complete requested verification may result in suspension. We may also investigate suspected illegal activity, preserve relevant logs, and cooperate with law enforcement and our upstream provider as required.

Enforcement

We monitor for abuse signals (not content) and respond to reports. We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited activity, preserve relevant logs, and cooperate with lawful requests. No refund is given for accounts terminated for AUP violations.

Reporting abuse

To report abuse, email [email protected] with “ABUSE” in the subject and include relevant details (IPs, timestamps, logs). We investigate every report.
