- [What the Tranco top 1,000 actually contains](https://proxmint.com/free-proxies/blocked-sites): a second finding from the same run, which nobody else publishes — Tranco ranks by DNS query volume rather than visitors, so roughly a fifth of the "top 1,000 websites" have no address at their apex and serve no homepage to anyone. CDN and nameserver domains rank that high on lookup volume alone; the highest-ranked of them sits in the top ten. Any benchmark that takes "the top 1,000 sites" and starts requesting them is measuring that fifth as if it were websites. The exact count is on the page and every row is in the API with its reason. (No number quoted here on purpose: this file is generated at build time and the count moves with each run.)

- The account dashboard (/dashboard) and admin (/admin) are private and not intended for crawling. Most of /api is private too — the exceptions are /api/free-proxies, /api/site-blocks and /api/geoip, which are deliberately public and free to call or cite; /openapi.json describes them.
- The free proxy list and the block benchmark are both licensed CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/): reuse it however you like, including commercially, provided you credit Proxmint and link https://proxmint.com/free-proxies.
- Sign-up is required to buy bandwidth; setup is a single proxy endpoint with username/password auth.
