Privacy Policy

• Account data: your email address and a hashed password, and, if you choose to answer, where you first heard about us.
• Payment data: handled by our crypto payment provider. We store the transaction reference and amount, not your wallet keys.
• Usage data: to bill and prevent abuse, we record connection metadata and the total bytes transferred per account. We do not sell this data.
• AI assistant chats: if you use the support assistant, we keep what you type, its answers and the page you asked from for a limited period, to check the answers and prevent abuse. Don’t paste passwords or payment details into it.

To provide and meter the Service, process payments, enforce our Acceptable Use Policy, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

Under the GDPR and comparable laws, we process personal data on these bases: performance of our contract with you (providing and billing the Service); our legitimate interests (securing the Service and preventing abuse); compliance with legal obligations; and, where applicable, your consent (for example, any non-essential cookies).

Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and as required by law. Connection logs used for abuse prevention are retained for a limited period and then deleted.

We share personal data only with the providers necessary to run the Service, each acting under contract and only as needed:

• Payment processing — our crypto payment provider (Cryptomus), which handles payment data as an independent controller under its own terms. We do not currently accept card payments, so no card processor receives your data.
• Hosting and database — our infrastructure provider.
• Upstream proxy network provider — routes your connections so the Service can deliver proxy access.
• Live chat and customer support — our live-chat provider processes the messages you send, and (for signed-in customers) your email and account context, so we can answer support requests.
• AI support assistant — our AI provider processes the messages you send the assistant, and the page you send them from, to generate its answers. It gets a pseudonymous visitor ID, never your IP address, email or account details.
• Review invitations — Trustpilot. When you buy a pack, we send Trustpilot your email address and order reference, and it invites you to review us about a week later. We skip this if you have unsubscribed from our emails, and you can ignore the invite.
• Web analytics — Google Analytics (Google), as described under Analytics below.

A current list of these sub-processors, including names, is available on request by emailing support@proxmint.com. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the Service.

Some providers, including our upstream network provider, may process data outside your country of origin. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on an appropriate safeguard (such as the Standard Contractual Clauses) where required by applicable data-protection law.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the dashboard (for example, to keep you signed in). Our live-chat widget also stores a small identifier (cookie / local storage) to keep your conversation continuous between visits, and, outside Europe, Google Analytics sets its own analytics cookies (see Analytics below). We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, though disabling essential cookies may break the dashboard.

We run our own first-party, privacy-first analytics to understand how the site is used (which pages are viewed, referring sites, and approximate country). It is cookieless and sets no identifier on your device. Each visit is counted with a rotating daily hash derived from your IP address, user agent, and site — your IP is used only to compute that hash and to estimate location, and is never stored. We do not track you across other websites, do not sell or share this data, and delete the underlying records on a rolling basis.

Outside Europe, we also use Google Analytics, provided by Google. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*, kept for up to two years) to recognise returning visits, and sends Google the page you view, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location, derived from your IP address. Before a page address reaches Google we strip every URL parameter except campaign tags. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses, keeps this data for 14 months, and has its advertising features turned off. Google Analytics does not run at all when your device is set to a European time zone or your browser sends a Do-Not-Track signal, and it sends nothing from admin pages. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies.

Our Google Sheets add-on asks Google for two permissions: to connect to proxmint.com, and to show its menu and the prompt where you paste your API key. It does not read your spreadsheets, files, email or any other Google user data.

When you use one of its formulas, the add-on sends us only what you typed into that formula (a URL, a country, a product) with your Proxmint API key, and we handle the request like any other API call under this policy. Your API key is stored in your Google account’s settings for the add-on. Remove it from the add-on’s menu, or revoke it under Settings in the dashboard.

The add-on’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Passwords are hashed; traffic to the dashboard is encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@proxmint.com. Deleting your account removes your credentials and stops further metering.
