Incogniton proxy setup
Incogniton takes the proxy per profile, on the Proxy tab. The field it calls Proxy IP wants the gateway hostname, not a bare address — that one substitution is where most setups go wrong. Everything else is the credentials from your dashboard.

Tips & gotchas
- Proxy IP takes the hostname gw.proxmint.com. Resolving it yourself and pasting an address breaks the moment the gateway moves.
- Test proxy before you save the profile — it returns the live exit IP and country, so a wrong country here means a typo in the username.
- Leave the rotation URL blank; sessttl already decides how long the profile keeps an IP.
Incogniton, answered
What goes in Incogniton's Proxy IP field?
The gateway hostname, gw.proxmint.com, with the port in its own field. The field is named IP for historical reasons but accepts a hostname, which is what you want — the gateway's address can change, the name doesn't.
How do I stop Incogniton profiles sharing an IP?
Give each profile its own sessid in the username (sessid.inc01, sessid.inc02). Without one, every request draws a fresh rotating IP, and profiles have no stable identity at all.
Does Incogniton support SOCKS5 proxies?
Yes. Select SOCKS5 as the connection type and set the port to 824. The username, password and hostname are the same as the HTTP setup.
