Hidemium proxy setup

Hidemium sets the proxy per profile: click Add Profile, open the Your Proxies tab in the Proxy step, and fill in the IP address, port, username and password. Or import proxies once into Proxy Manager and pick them from any profile. The username carries your targeting keys, so one set of credentials covers every country and every profile.

Hidemium proxy fields

  1. Click Add Profile and go to the Proxy step, then open the Your Proxies tab. For a proxy you'll reuse, add it once in Proxy Manager and pick it with Select in any profile.
  2. Set Proxy Type to HTTP and fill in the fields below one at a time.
  3. Click Check Proxy. Detail Proxy shows the exit's IP and location before you click Create profile.

Tips & gotchas

  • The Format Proxy box above the fields fills them from one pasted line. If you use it, check that Username kept your whole login, targeting keys included, before you click Check Proxy.
  • Keep Check proxy before start profile on. Hidemium then re-reads the exit each time the profile opens and updates the WebRTC IP, geolocation and language to match. A sessid holds one IP for up to 120 minutes, so a profile you reopen later comes back on a new residential IP, and the check keeps the fingerprint in step with it.
  • Timezone, geolocation, WebRTC and language follow the proxy under Location. A new session can land in a different city of the same country, so add ;city.newyork if a profile must keep one timezone. City targeting meters at 2× on every pool except premium residential.
  • Check Proxy Host picks the lookup behind Check Proxy: Hidemium's own, ipinfo.io, ipscore.io, ipgeolocation.io, api.ip.sb or api.ipapi.is. They disagree on residential IPs, so if Detail Proxy shows a neighbouring city, try another host before you change the targeting.
  • A sessid overrides a sticky port: with one in the username, the sessid picks the exit and the port stops mattering. Use one method per profile, either sessid usernames on port 823 or country-only usernames on ports 10001, 10002 and up.
  • The other tabs in the Proxy step (Rotating Residential Proxies, IPs Residential Proxies, Unlimited Ipv6 Proxies, Proxies free) are Hidemium's own proxy offers. Your own proxy goes in Your Proxies, as HTTP or as SOCKS5 on port 824.

How do I add a proxy to a Hidemium profile?

Click Add Profile, go to the Proxy step and open Your Proxies. Set Proxy Type to HTTP, enter gw.proxmint.com in IP address and 823 in Port, then your login in Username and your password in Password. Check Proxy shows the exit's location before you click Create profile.

What format does Hidemium's proxy import use?

Type|IP|Port|Username|Password, one proxy per line, for example HTTP|gw.proxmint.com|10001|PROXY_USER__cr.us|PROXY_PASS. Paste the lines into Import Proxy in Proxy Manager with Type Import set to TEXT, or save them in a .txt file and choose FILE.

How do I give each Hidemium profile its own IP?

Give each profile a distinct sessid in its username (sessid.hdm01, sessid.hdm02), or import country-only lines on sticky ports 10001, 10002 and up into Proxy Manager and assign one per profile. Each profile then draws its own residential IP.

Does Hidemium support SOCKS5 proxies?

Yes. Set Proxy Type to SOCKS5 and Port to 824; the host, username and password stay the same.

Ready to route Hidemium through residential IPs?
