Google Sheets
Fetch a page from another country in a cell, check an exit IP and read your bandwidth, as formulas.
Last verified: November 2026What it does
The Proxmint add-on for Google Sheets gives you three formulas. PROXMINT_FETCH loads a page as a visitor from the country you pick would see it: prices, availability, redirects and search pages that change by location. PROXMINT_IP shows where a proxy exits, and PROXMINT_BALANCEshows the bandwidth left on each product.
Apps Script can’t send a request through a proxy, so each formula calls the Proxmint API with your API key. The page is fetched through your own proxy, from the IPs and location you choose, and the bandwidth comes out of your account.
Install and connect
In a sheet, open Extensions > Add-ons > Get add-ons and search for Proxmint. The Google Workspace Marketplace listing is in Google’s review in November 2026.
Create an API key under Settings in the dashboard (the same key the customer API uses). Then open Extensions > Proxmint for Google Sheets > Set API key and paste it. You need bandwidth on at least one product; see pricing.
Formulas
| Formula | Returns |
|---|---|
=PROXMINT_FETCH(url, [country], [product]) | One row: status code, final URL, title, page text (up to 50,000 characters). |
=PROXMINT_IP([country], [product]) | One row: exit IP, the country Cloudflare sees it in, milliseconds taken. |
=PROXMINT_BALANCE() | One row per product: product, status, GB left, GB used. |
country is a two-letter code such as us; leave it empty to use the targeting saved in the dashboard. product is residential (the default), premium-residential, datacenter or mobile.
If your sheet is set to a locale that writes decimals with a comma (Indonesia and most of Europe, for example), separate the arguments with a semicolon:
Good to know
- Sheets runs a formula again when its arguments change, and each run of
PROXMINT_FETCHuses bandwidth. Paste the results as values when you want to keep them. - When a fetch fails, for example because the product is out of bandwidth or no IP matches the targeting, the cell shows the reason and what to change. The error codes page lists them.
- The add-on doesn’t run JavaScript on the page. It returns what the server sends, as readable text.
- In a shared sheet, formulas run on the key of the person who set it, so share edit access only with people who may spend that bandwidth.
- It reads no other cells, files or Google data. The privacy policy says what it sends.
